The Shared Sign II

Curatorial note

The Shared Sign II removes the large METOO wordmark and allows the iconographic vocabulary to operate independently. Gender signs, infinity symbols, flowers, stars, rainbows and paired circles are dispersed across an off-white field with enough space to remain individually legible.

The absence of a dominant text changes the reading. Instead of being organised around a name, the work becomes a network of equivalences and differences. No single sign achieves final authority; identity is presented as an open constellation. This decentralisation gives the series a more abstract and less declarative register.
