MeToo

MeToo is a digital artist whose identity, age, nationality and place of residence remain undisclosed.

This absence of biography is not a void to be filled. It is part of the work.

By removing the artist from the foreground, MeToo leaves the viewer with the image first — before origin, biography or persona can become an interpretive shortcut.

The work is built from a deliberately shared visual language: hearts, flowers, hands, stars, gender signs, infinity, weather, waves and short verbal declarations. These are signs already circulating through contemporary culture. MeToo recombines them until familiarity becomes unstable and personal recognition can enter.

Across the corpus, repetition is not used as decoration alone. A heart repeated nine times becomes a study of difference. A flower held constant across changing colour fields becomes a test of perception. A word such as CALM, repeated until it becomes pattern, moves from statement to rhythm.

The digital medium is therefore more than a tool. It mirrors the condition of the project: an image can appear anywhere, belong nowhere, be reproduced without losing its capacity to generate an individual response.

The name MeToo contains the structure of the work in two words. Me. Too. An individual position that only acquires meaning in relation to another.
