Heart Garden
Hearts / FlowersCuratorial note
Heart Garden places the name inside the heart rather than beside it. The central emblem is surrounded by tulips, daisies and saturated patterned fields, so figure and ground begin to compete for equal visual weight. The image remains immediately legible, but its structure is more compressed than the earlier grid works.
The work is important within the corpus because it fuses two recurring motifs — heart and flower — into a single spatial system. Instead of repeating signs in separate cells, MeToo lets them occupy one continuous field. Serial language becomes environment.
