Blossom Sign
Hearts / FlowersCuratorial note
Blossom Sign is one of the clearest reductions in the Hearts / Flowers group. A monumental black ME TOO occupies the centre while red hearts and pale pink blossoms are distributed around it with unusually generous intervals. The restraint matters: instead of building meaning through accumulation, the work tests how little is needed for MeToo’s language to remain recognisable.
The heart and blossom share a similar graphic status — simplified, outlined and immediately legible — but they carry different emotional temperatures. Their alternation creates a quiet rhythm around the name. The work therefore strengthens the corpus by proving that MeToo’s visual identity does not depend on density; the grammar survives, and becomes more explicit, when the field is opened.
